Western Wisconsin Technical College - Coleman Center

La Crosse, WI

The WTC Coleman job is a 2-phase renovation of a 3 story, 53,000 square foot building on the WTC campus. Wieser Brothers was hired to complete the first phase of this project which involved demolition of all interior floor finishes, wall partitions, ceilings, exterior windows and building entrances. After demolition was complete, major structural modifications were performed to prepare the building for its new floor plan. The project is being completed while building is occupied by students, also in close vicinity to the center of campus. There is great consideration to the safety of the students while work is being performed.

The project includes an addition to the building of approx. 2,000 square feet to accommodate a new stair tower, elevator shaft, and expanded ADA compliant entrance to the building. All finish materials and building heating/cooling/electrical systems were upgraded to meet the LEED certification requirements. Work started in July 2014 and was ready for occupancy in May 2015. The Coleman Center project is LEED Silver Certified.
