Kwik Trip Kitchens

La Crosse, WI

This project was an 117,872 square foot expansion onto the owner’s existing commissary facility. In addition to the first floor, a 12,814 SF mezzanine was included in this large expansion. The building was constructed of insulated metal panels with a structural steel shell and pre-cast wall panels at the loading docks and mechanical/utility room.

The project was designed to facilitate a large array of operations incorporating intricate and state of the art food processing equipment with the overall flow of the building accommodating maximum production with future growth of the facility in mind. With the large array of operations, and rooms varying between 10° and 70°, the mechanical system and building design had many details that needed to be followed.  The building was constructed on a very aggressive 14 month schedule.
